Commentary: No cover. :(
Good morning, busy bodies.
There is, unfortunately, no comic today. It was meant to be the cover to Issue 2, The Other Woman, but I haven't had time to color it completely. In general, it's harder for me to color covers than just draw the pages, since drawing is by hand and can be done almost anywhere, and coloring by computer requires the computer and the tablet.
Don't worry, though, there'll still be a comic on Friday and onwards. Also, hey, it's time for Issue 3, the Wicked Stepsister!
There is much lovin' going on in the next comic. There are also a lot of cheesecake poses; I blame ferocious Francine, one of the upcoming characters. You know how every mystery story has a mysterious blonde bombshell femme fatale? The sort that walks into the protagonist's life and only brings misery and regret? That's Ferocious Francine. She wears the slinky dresses that are standard issue for all femme fatales.
There's also violence, as Hilary has done a lot of things to warrant negative feelings against her, and they are catching up. What else? We have a flashback to young Mercedes! You get some answers to some questions - and more questions get brought up, too. It's a fine balance, really, and I constantly worry I'm doing too much of one and not enough of the other.
